Getting Started

This guide will walk you through setting up your Smart KYC account and creating your first KYC workflow.

Account Setup

1. Sign Up

  1. Navigate to the signup page
  2. Enter your email address and create a password
  3. Verify your email address through the verification link sent to your inbox
  4. Complete your profile information

2. Manager Onboarding

After signing up, you’ll be guided through a three-step onboarding process:

Step 1: Business Information

  • Enter your company name
  • Provide business details
  • Set up your organization profile

Step 2: Select Workflow

  • Choose a pre-built workflow template, or
  • Create a custom workflow from scratch

Step 3: Invite Someone

  • Send your first KYC invitation to a test user
  • Learn how the invitation process works

You can skip the onboarding at any time and complete it later from your dashboard.

Creating Your First Workflow

Access the Workflow Builder

  1. Navigate to Configuration → Workflows in the sidebar
  2. Click New Workflow or Create Workflow
  3. You’ll see the workflow builder interface with three main areas:
    • Left Panel: Available groups and elements
    • Center Canvas: Your workflow structure
    • Right Panel: Configuration options

Building a Workflow

Add Groups

Groups organize related form fields together. To add a group:

  1. Click on a group from the left panel (e.g., “Personal Information”, “Address”)
  2. Drag it onto the canvas
  3. Configure the group settings in the right panel

Add Elements

Elements are individual form fields. To add an element:

  1. Click on an element from the left panel
  2. Drag it into a group on the canvas
  3. Configure the element properties:
    • Field label
    • Placeholder text
    • Validation rules
    • Required/optional status
    • Default values

Reorder Items

  • Drag groups or elements up/down to reorder them
  • Use the grip handle (⋮⋮) to drag items

Configure Settings

Click on any group or element to configure:

  • Display settings: Labels, placeholders, help text
  • Validation: Required fields, format validation, min/max values
  • Conditional logic: Show/hide based on other field values
  • Styling: Custom CSS classes (advanced)

Save Your Workflow

  1. Click Save in the top right corner
  2. Enter a workflow name and description
  3. Your workflow is now ready to use

Sending Your First Invitation

From the Dashboard

  1. Navigate to KYC Verifications in the sidebar
  2. Click New Verification or Invite User
  3. Fill in the invitation details:
    • Email: Customer’s email address
    • Workflow: Select the workflow you created
    • Optional: Add custom metadata or notes
  4. Click Send Invitation

The customer will receive an email with a link to complete the KYC form.

From Workflow Page

  1. Navigate to Configuration → Workflows
  2. Find your workflow in the list
  3. Click the Invite button or action menu
  4. Follow the same invitation process

Reviewing Submissions

View All Submissions

  1. Navigate to KYC Verifications
  2. You’ll see a list of all invitations and their status:
    • Pending: Invitation sent, not yet started
    • In Progress: Customer has started but not completed
    • Completed: Verification completed
    • Expired: Invitation link has expired

View Submission Details

  1. Click on any submission from the list
  2. View the complete submission including:
    • All form responses
    • Uploaded documents
    • Submission metadata
    • AI Assistant insights (if available)
    • Risk assessment

Export Submissions

  • Click Export to download submissions as PDF or CSV
  • Use filters to export specific submissions
